7.1 FX Stagger components
Fork material
When it comes to the fork, this bike has a steel one, which is tougher than carbon in the case of an impact. However, it can add some extra weight to the bike.
Wheels
The 7.1 FX Stagger 2012 bike is equipped with 700c aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. These are the most popular wheels for road, aero, gravel, cyclocross, race, and gravel bikes. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek 7.1 FX Stagger is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
