Fork material
The fork is made out of aluminum, which doesn’t add too much extra weight to the bike. However, it is not so stiff as steel or carbon forks are.
Wheels
The wheels on 7.5 FX WSD are the 700c aluminum type. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, these wheels don’t perform so well when passing over obstacles.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek 7.5 FX WSD is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes deliver an average performance overall. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
