Overview of components
Wheels
The 820 WSD 2009 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
We ride faster and faster, so a good braking system is essential on a bike nowadays. The 820 WSD comes with Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
