Wheels size
As for the wheels, Trek Classic Steel 2012, has a 26″ aluminum model. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
When you want to stop the bike in time, the brakes are vital. The Classic Steel has Coaster brakes. These brakes are pretty efficient, and they’re not so pricey. However, they have flaws, especially if the chain falls off.
