Cruiseliner has a steel fork, so, it can add some extra weight to your bike. However, steel is a pretty tough and durable material.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the Cruiseliner model has 26″ aluminum wheels. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, they provide less traction than 29″ wheels do.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek Cruiseliner is equipped with Coaster brakes. Coaster brakes are among the oldest brake types you can find on a bike. However, if your chain falls off or snaps, your coaster brakes won’t function anymore.
