Average price for Commuter bikes
Our math shows that the average cost of a dependable Commuter bike is 762$. However, paying less money than this amount doesn’t mean that you couldn’t get a great Commuter bike. In short, before purchasing your ideal bike do some research about its components, and also check for reviews online.
District components
Fork material
District has a carbon fork, so, it’s a great addition to the bike’s value. However, carbon forks should be regularly inspected for damage because even the smallest crack could cause the fork to fall apart.
Wheels
When leaving the production line, the District model has 700c aluminum wheels. These wheels are the most used kind for road bikes in general. However, while they give you great speed and control, these wheels are not so bump-friendly.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek District is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes deliver an average performance overall. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
