Wheels
The wheels on Navigator 400 are the 26″ aluminum type. The 26″ wheels are lighter than the 27.5 or 29″ wheels. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek Navigator 400 is equipped with Rim brakes. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, you could spend a little extra and get a bike that has hydraulic brakes.
