Navigator 50 components
Fork material
The fork on this bike is made out of steel, so, it can add some extra weight to your bike. However, steel is a pretty tough and durable material.
Wheels
The Navigator 50 2004 bike is equipped with 26″ aluminum wheels when leaving the factory. Being a little smaller, these wheels will fit both small and tall riders. However, they are less forgiving when riding over obstacles such as bumps and roots.
Brakes
Nothing is more important on a bike than its ability to brake properly. Trek Navigator 50 is equipped with Rim brakes. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they have problems in wet conditions.
