Fork material
The fork is made out of steel, which tends to be more flexible than carbon forks in general. However, a carbon fork is considerably lighter.
Wheels size
When it comes to wheels, the Pure Lowstep bike is equipped with the 26″ aluminum model. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek Pure Lowstep has Rim brakes installed. Slightly lighter than hydraulic brakes, rim brakes are a budget choice. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
