Wheels size
When leaving the production line, the Pure Lowstep model has 26″ aluminum wheels. These wheels give you great handling over your bike. However, you will need increased suspension than in the case of 29″ wheels.
Brakes
For your safety, it is important to have quality breaks on your bike. Trek Pure Lowstep has Rim brakes installed. Rim brakes are cheaper than hydraulic brakes, and also easier to maintain. However, they are not nearly as effective as hydraulic brakes are.
